Tavern '45 is a new restaurant designed around quality, authenticity and the concept of enjoying great times with friends. The result is a New American Tavern - a tavern with a modern twist.
We crafted our menu around distinctive American pub fare with a focus on unique, quality ingredients. We built a drink menu with an extra emphasis on craft beer brewed right here in Illinois. And we created an atmosphere that welcomes guests in to connect with their friends in a comfortable setting.
Tavern '45 is a part of Brunswick's, a new, upscale bowling and entertainment center offering active fun in a contemporary environment. Food and drink service is available on the lanes and in the restaurant.
Position
Summary:
As an important team member at Brunswicks, the Food Runner is responsible for providing guests throughout the center with exceptional service by expediting and serving food.
Roles and
Responsibilities:
Works evenings and weekends to ensure the delivery of exceptional guest service by:
Being a Guide:
Ensures all plates are garnished according to standards before being served
Restocking supplies as necessary.
Assisting with events as needed.
Being Caring:
Greeting guests with genuine enthusiasm as they enter the center and then throughout the center in accordance with the 10/5 rule (when approaching guests, acknowledge through eye contact within 10 feet, verbally acknowledge within 5 feet).
Ensures that clean and well-maintained conditions are kept throughout the center and in the bar area. Promptly notifies the Assistant General Manager of any facilities issues.
Being Genuine:
Embraces S.T.A.R.T (Smile and quickly acknowledge guests, Take the right attitude, Actively listen, Respond appropriately to guests needs, Thank the guest and invite them back) and applies the concept to all employee and guest interactions.
Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest service.
Required
Qualifications:
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Must complete Serving Alcohol Responsibly training and meet the state age requirements for serving alcohol and possess any local alcohol serving requirements. TIPS certified preferred, but not required.
Any prior food and beverage experience is beneficial.
Demonstrates the key behaviors associated with the Brunswick values of guest service, passion for bowling and entertainment, integrity and teamwork.
