OLIMP is looking for a VP of Engineering who will oversee the activities of Engineers and Developers to ensure efficient development and implementation of operations.
This candidate is responsible for verifying that design requirements are met and overseeing the consistency of user experiences.
To be a successful VP of Engineering, you should have prior organizational leadership experience, be able to collaborate with team members, and be a strategic problem solver.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills, have a solid foundation in software design and building code.
The person in this role will be an integral part of the senior leadership team, partnering with others on that team to translate our company vision and strategy into engineering strategies that enable us to achieve our purpose on a scale.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with management to develop and meet organizational goals while supplying expertise and guidance on projects, operations, and systems.
Identifies, recommends, and implements new technologies and systems to improve organizational processes and decision-making.
Develop standards and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met and consistent.
Assure that department achieves objectives and project completion within budget and time frame.
Lead, mentor and support a highly effective team of passionate engineers fostering a high-performance culture.
Liaison with product management to finalize requirements.
Contribute to technical engineering designs, resource management and implementations.
Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in engineering and development related to the organizations industry.
Negotiates cost-effective contracts for the organization; coordinates and implements contractors work, and resolves any disputes over labor, scheduling, or payments.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related.
10
years of experience in application development, computer systems, software development, programming, platform development or related preferred.
7
years of experience managing software development teams, and experience hiring, developing, and managing managers.
Experience with object-oriented code,.
Net, C#, HTML, CSS, SQL Server, Front End Web, Web Services Experience leading SaaS-based engineering organizations.
Must be knowledgeable in building code.
Demonstrated success of building teams of Software Engineers.
Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills with the ability to explain approach to all levels in organization.
Previous experience in a startup company is a plus.
